a rigorous five-week language program at
Stanford with a four-week practicum in Chinese at
Peking University. Intensive Chinese is offered at
the first-, second-, and third-year levels, and
each class is equivalent to one year of regular
instruction. Classes at both Stanford and Peking
University meet for four hours of instruction daily,
Monday through Friday (except third-year Chinese,
which meets three hours daily). Classes are taught
by faculty from Stanford University and Peking
University."
