On this subject it has developed one of Malaysia's major resource collections. Materials include video recordings, slides and photographs. The Centre also has wider interest in traditional Malay culture as a whole.
Recent publications of the Centre include volumes on traditional Malay music and the shadow play (wayang kulit). Forthcoming publications include a book on Mak Yong, the ancient dance theatre."
