Pacific Archaeology Teaching Project 1998
The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia
A web-based teaching and learning system, delivered by a
satellite hook-up from Mangaasi archaeological site near the
village of Mangaliliu, Northwest Efate, Republic of Vanuatu on
an approximately daily basis.
Self-description:
"The web site will provide:
(i) background information from earlier work at the site and
elsewhere in the region.
(ii) the daily field data [...].
(iii) digital photographs of artefacts found and the stratigraphy
and photo-documentary records.
(iv) Quick-time 360 degrees 'panoramic tours' of the site and environs.
(v) interviews with [...] local leaders and villagers from
the community.
(vi) a listproc [...]."
