The Economic History of Eastern Asia Site
Leiden University, The Netherlands
Supplied note:
"A[n] introduction to the study of the economic history of
Eastern Asia. It contains references to statistical and
documentary sources as well as to relevant institutions. Eastern
Asia comprises both East Asia (Japan, China with Hong Kong, South
Korea, Taiwan) and Southeast Asia. In the latter case the focus
is on the major member states of ASEAN (= Association of South
East Asian Nations) i.e. Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines,
Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Special attention is given to
Japan and Indonesia. There is a rather strong concentration to
the post-war period, especially the most recent years."
