Self description: "Since the introduction of the WWW in May 1991, this new electronic publishing/communication tool has both revolutionised and complicated the Asian Studies scholarship and librarianship. It also summarises major positive and negative developments, identifies emerging long-term trends and offers predictions for the period 1999-2005."
