The Australian National University, RSPAS, Australia
Self description:
"Since the introduction of the WWW in May 1991, this new
electronic publishing/communication tool has both
revolutionised and complicated the Asian Studies scholarship
and librarianship. This paper reviews the current role of
the WWW in Asia as well as in Asian Studies. It also
summarises major positive and negative developments,
identifies emerging long-term trends and offers predictions
for the period 1999-2005."
