Self description:
A "research network [which consists] of 29 field stations of CAS which cover
the fields of [...] agriculture, forest, grassland, lake and marine ecosystems, 5 disciplinary
subcenters of hydrology, soil, atmosphere, biology and aquatic, and 1 synthesis center. CERN
began to be constructed from 1988. Up to now, more than 1000 scientists and technicians from 21
institutes of CAS have involved in the activities of the project."
