Vietnam War Battle of Long Tan, Aug 1996
Bob Buick personal page, Australia
Self-description:
"On the afternoon of 18 Aug 1966 the 'Battle of Long Tan' was fought
in [a rubber] plantation between my company D Company of 6 Battalion
Royal Australian Regiment, 6RAR, 108 strong and the Viet Cong 275
Regiment of some 2,500. [...] There is no blood and guts in my pages
but it will show where we went, how we lived, a sequence of positions
and dispositions of groups involved in the 'Battle of Long Tan' and
generally how it was those 30 long years ago at a place called
Vietnam."
