Interpoetics Journal, US
Self-description: "A triquarterly journal of poetry, translations,
research and reviews. The first issue features Iranian American Ali
Zarrin's book-length poem Desert and poems by David Jenkins and Lee
Christopher. There are excellent translations from Chinese and
Japanese: Gregory Lee's translations of the contemporary Chinese poet
Duoduo, William Gardner's translations and introduction to the early
20th c. Japanese avant-garde poet Takenaka Iku, and Dean Brink's
translations of late 19th century homoerotic narrative poems by Yamada
Bimyo. There are also reviews of Ali Zarrin celebratory poem and Myung
Mi Kim's highly experimental work. Upcoming issues will have more
research articles on poetry and art in China and Japan."
