Asian Popular Culture - 1998 Conference
Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI), Univ. of Victoria, BC, Canada
"A conference on the theme of 'Asian Popular Culture' is to be held
April 16-18, 1998 on the campus of the Univ. of Victoria in Victoria,
BC, Canada. Selected papers will also be published in a book,
designed for a general audience, to be edited by Dr. Richard King and
Dr. Tim Craig. The geographic focus of the conference and book will be
East and Southeast Asia, including Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan,
and the present and likely future members of the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN): Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the
Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and
Myanmar."
