Louisiana State Univ. in Shreveport (LSUS), USA
"LSUS has the only Japan
Studies Program in North Louisiana. The program is partially funded by
the US Dept. of Defense, National Security Education Program, and has
also received support from the Japan Foundation and the Fulbright-Hays
program. Components include Japanese language, culture, history, etc.
instruction; summer institutes for teachers; study tours of Japan;
Lafcadio Hearn exhibit (Oct. 6-24,1997); Japanese Cultural Festival
(Oct. 22-25, 1997); etc."
