The Cult of Confucius: Images of the Temple of Culture
Hamilton College, USA
"This web page includes a general survey of the official status of
Confucianism, some of my photographs of Confucius temples in Beijing, Qufu,
Hangzhou, and Quzhou, a list of key dates for enshrinement in the temple
and Confucius's posthumous titles, and a bibliography of sources. I have
written the text so that it should be accessible to an undergraduate
audience and, I hope, informative for sinologists."
