"The Millennium Institute (est. 1983) is a charitable, non-profit
organization. It provides research, development, and analytical
services to governments, United Nations agencies, World Bank
departments, and other interested parties on: Agricultural Production
Models, Education Models, Energy Models, Food and Nutrition Models,
Forestry Models, Greenhouse Gas Emission Models, Health Care Models,
Population Models, and Water Models.
The Institute also prepares: * a user-friendly interface to the
country-specific versions of the World Bank's Revised Minimum Standard Model-Extended (RMSM-X); *
integrated assessments of national economic, environmental, and
social futures (to 2050) using the THRESHOLD 21 model (incl.
Bangladesh model completed Spring 1995, upgraded Nov 1996; Chinese
model completed Dec 1996; Collaborative work underway with the World
Bank on Georgia and Armenia); and * national Computable General
Equilibrium (CGE) models."
