"Rabten Choeling was founded by the Venerable Geshe Rabten in 1977
with the intention to establish an institute for Tibetan studies as
well as an authentic Tibetan-Buddhist monastery for Tibetan and
Western monks, nuns and lay people. It offers a seven-year-term of
studies in philosophy, logic, debate, psychology, meditation and
classical as well as modern Tibetan. Weekend courses, public lectures
and meditation weeks are held throughout the year by the resident
