Australian Centre of the Asian Spatial Information and Analysis Network (ACASIAN)
AIS, Griffith Univ, Australia
ACASIAN is a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) academic and
applied research centre. As the central node in the Spatial
Information Infrastructure for Asian Studies in Australia (SIIASA)
Consortium, it supplies high quality spatial data to the Australian
academic community. Spatial data sets are also available for
licensing to researchers and commercial organisations world wide.
Contents in Jan 1997: East Asia (PRC, Japan, Korea, Mongolia);
Southeast Asia (Ethnolinguistic maps, Philippines, Vietnam,
Kampuchea, Laos, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei,
Indonesia); South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka,
Pakistan, Afghanistan); Near East (Iran, Turkey, Israel, Cyprus, Arab
countries in Asia)
