The MetaCrawler Multi-Threaded Web Search Service
www.metacrawler.com, USA
The MetaCrawler is a free WWW search service. The
MetaCrawler differs from other services in that it doesn't maintain
any internal database. Rather, it sends your queries to nine
different services: Open Text, Alta Vista, Lycos, WebCrawler,
InfoSeek, Excite, Inktomi, Yahoo, and Galaxy.
The MetaCrawler organizes the results into a uniform format, and
displays them. With the MetaCrawler, the sorted list that is displayed
can be sorted by a number of different ways, such as locality, region,
and organization.
