Malay Concordance Project
ANU, Australia
The Malay Concordance Project proposes to make concordances of early Malay
texts available on-line for semantic and stylistic studies. It presents
texts in the form of a lemmatised KWIC concordance accessed by indexes of
roots and affixes. It also provides statistics of root and affix
frequency, and gives lists of roots by frequency of occurrence.
The first text available is the classical romance Hikayat Inderaputera.
Next will be some miscellaneous verse ballads. A major second stage will
be to process and mount several historical texts, including the Tuhfat
al-Nafis.
