The Unit is the main agency within the Australian Government
responsible for the publication of analysis of economic and political
issues in Asia. It undertakes and commissions studies into important
medium to long-term economic and political developments and issues
within the region. It draws on a wide range of data and information
sources, including reports from Australia's diplomatic and trade
missions in Asia.
