The Centre (est. 1975) is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit academic institution involved in research on the Sultanate of Oman and related areas (including Zanzibar, Makran Coast of Iran and Pakistan, East Africa and the Arabian Gulf). Fields of interest cover a wide range from Oman's history, geography, culture, economy, arts, law, language, natural history and even includes more marginal topics such as philately and numismatics. The site offers a number of WWW links.
