The Non-Slavic Languages (NSL) Conference

The Tenth Biennial NSL Conference will be held at the University of Chicago, 8-10 May 1997.
NSL Conference (originally, Non-Slavic Languages of the USSR). is a
biennial conference sponsored since 1979 by the Dept of Slavic
Languages and Literatures and the Dt of Linguistics of the Univ. of
Chicago and devoted to the presentation of scholarly papers dealing
with all linguistic aspects of non-Slavic languages presently or
historically spoken on the territories of the successor states to
USSR, i.e., the Baltic republics and the member republics of the
Commonwealth of Independent States. The site offers links to abstracts
of the papers and to conference details.
