The IIAS Newsletter reflects the coordinating character of the Institute. It
strives to be a Newsletters' newsletter. The IIASN is in English and it is
published three times a year. It has a circulation of 14,000 and has a
newspaper format featuring many illustrations.
It offers information about Asian Studies in Western and Asian countries,
divided into the following sections: IIAS News; General News; Central Asia;
South Asia; Southeast Asia; East Asia China; East Asia Japan;/Korea; Insular
Southwest Asia; Asian Culture; ESF Asia Committee News; AAS News; Newsletters
on Asia in Europe; Supplements on various aspects of Asian Studies.
The IIASN also carries an agenda with conferences and seminars on Asian
Studies. A special section is devoted to advertisements for staff.
