The Mongolian Felt Tent
Dynamic Diagrams, USA
We have developed The Mongolian Felt Tent, an interactive computer
program that is part of 'Mongolia: The Legacy of Chinggis Khan'
exibition now on tour in the US. The program is about the Mongolian
ger, its history, how felt is made, how the tent is built and
transported, and how people live in the tent today. It features photos
and video by Dr. Carole Pegg (cap1@cus.cam.ac.uk), a social
anthropologist from Cambridge Univ., UK. There is also a link to
information about the art exhibition itself at the Asian Art Museum of
San Francisco, the host institution.
