How many Australians are aware that two of our most productive horticultural areas started off as grand failures of ambitious and radically different schemes meant to transform a desert into a garden by using the waters of one of the largest river systems on the planet? How many non-Australians are aware of how the Sunraysia and Riverland regions were pioneered even if they've worked there whilst on holiday?
